The Effective Teaching Methodologies course will help participants
become creative and effective curriculum designers and classroom
facilitators. They will learn about Understanding by Design to establish
curricular priorities in the complex process of teaching.
Using principles from this Backward Design Model to incorporate best
teaching practices including a variety of resourceful methods to meet the
different learning needs, styles and abilities in the classroom,
participants will be able to engage their learners and ensure that true
learning has taken place.
The course emphasizes the balance between the multiple roles of an
educator-designer, motivator, facilitator, manager, coach and more.
Participants are given equal opportunities to learn from hands-on
activities like role plays, small group activities, teaching exercises,
case studies, etc.

subjects with a focus on handling differentiation and using new teaching
approaches based on innovative learning theories.
