I would like to thank our Phonics Trainer, for making the 6 lessons (March 06 intake) wonderful. Her lessons were interesting as well as easy to understand.

Many thanks for your support!

It has been as enjoyable and a fruitful experience with the Speech & Drama class. Just want to share with you that now I'm teaching Speech & Drama at 3 schools just after completing my class - filled up four of my weekdays afternoon!

Tiring but enjoyable! Hope to teach Speech & Drama full-time next year!

My childhood dream and ambition had always been to be a teacher and GIG has greatly helped me to achieve it. It has made me realize my full potential.

GIG offers great hospitality. Its warmth and friendliness has created an excellent learning environment for me to indulge in.

The programme mentor patiently guided me along the course and cleared my many doubts with regards to my future undertaking courses. GIG also recommends great job offers to its graduates.

The Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers & Trainers has now enabled me to pursue a long awaited direct degree from a famous USA University!

It is through the guidance of the teachers at GIG that I have to thank as they have shaped my life in so many ways it is difficult for me to express my feelings with just mere words.

I applied everything that I've learned from these courses and I would especially like to thank Chio Su Ping and Chet Choon for being the best teachers and mentors I have EVER known.

They have taught me to see life in different perspective. They have taught me to be a stronger and a more positive person.

I was offered a position as a Speech and Drama teacher at SIM because of my cert from DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION .

I was offered a position as a Creative Writing teacher at TMC teaching adults foreigners because of the CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMA FOR TEACHERS AND TRAINERS.

Having a FRIEND
so SWEET, so CARING
so TRUE, so SINCERE
is a TREASURE,
So I can't just imagine
how LUCKY I am to have known
these WONDERFUL people.

Once again Thank You for all your support and care.

I am truly appreciative of Melissa's time and effort to provide additional value-added workshop trainings.  The extra trainings and notes she had provided for Phonics, Speech & Drama and Creative Writing were valuable for new teachers like me....

Cheers
Jean

I wish to express my pleasant surprise to see that GIG staffs are exceptionally helpful including the management who are ever ready and available to clear our concerns or doubts with patience and understanding. We do experience the warmthness as if we are in a big family of GIG.

Unlike the experience I had in my previous institution where the management would only communicate to the students through their officer.  We did not even get a chance to meet up with the Principal for the 18 months that we were attached to them. The only contact they had with us was when some of the students failed to pay up their fees due on time.

Thank you for the concern and anxiety that we have caused you in seeing that we do well in our pursue of excellence in our courses and the scholarship offered to some of us to further our courses in the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers & Trainers.

We would strive to do well and to contribute to the society we are in.

Yours Sincerely,
 Amy Tan

All of us have many teachers in our lives. In fact, the planet is our teacher, and we are our own teachers too!

My favourite teacher was my secondary school moral education teacher. I was a teenager then. He was a 50-year old riding a 125cc red motorcycle, but sometimes, especially when it rained, he would drive a brown van instead. His job was to assemble the school first thing in the morning, and to dismiss the school at the end of the day. He made regular announcements over the speakers. I thought he was the principal’s personal assistant or somebody important. He was a black man, very dark but not scary because he was small built. He was also hardworking and fit, for he stood “straight-up chest-out” and he was never absent. He was not tall, yet he appeared huge. He was so knowledgeable, as he was capable of teaching all subjects except Chinese. Above all, I guessed what made him touched my heart most was that he was a truly understanding person.

My favourite teacher - he has been buried in the core of my heart for such a long time, till recently when I dug up all the fond memories I’ve put away, out again. GIG has caused all these to happen to me, right from the beginning, from my Public Speaking Class to all the subsequent courses I took with GIG.

I am a “course” person. I signed up for all sorts of courses, and I engaged in many types of activities. Though I have been a private tutor and a martial arts assistant instructor, I have never felt so “teacher-like” before, until I seriously embarked on an enrichment course leading to teaching – the CIE International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers..

The projects and assignments have gotten me to sit down and ponder over and over the lesson curriculum, which in the midst of producing my written work, I uncontrollably referred to my “model answers” – i.e. to what leads to a good lesson plan and a teacher. And not long did I realize I have actually kept turning to the same page on my memory diary, the page where records of my model teacher was being kept under “lock & key” in my heart.

If I were a teacher, I would be somebody who would resemble my favourite teacher.

With this, I would like to present my appreciation to GIG Education Centre, for the warmth and passion from my principal, my teachers and my course mates alike. I thank all of you for the encouragement and patience, for guiding me to bring out the best of myself. I may not have transformed from my old low-esteemed self totally, but rest assured that given time, I would be a better person. And the teachings of GIG will continue to lead me to become a more confident teacher in my teaching endeavours. The best is yet to be.

Learning journey with GIG Education Center

I have embarked on an unknown journey with GIG Education Center in 2004. It is a journey of no regrets though.

Learning can be fun and interesting especially with dedicated and experienced teachers who were willing to go the extra mile to share with the students all that they know. The support from the school played a very important part to help us feel comfortable and be able to adapt to the different requirements of the modules under tight schedule. I have enjoyed and treasured every courses that I took with GIG, it leaves me with beautiful memories and knowledge that I can even apply in my daily life.

I would not hesitate to recommend GIG to those who are seeking continuous improvement to their careers, enhancement to their personal and professional skills.

I wish GIG success and their continual fulfillment of their mission to cultivate Creativity, Dynamism and Integrity in teachers, who will in turn develop and inculcate their students.
